About Deionized Water

Deionized (DI) water has had all dissolved ionic mineral salts removed through an ion exchange process, leaving water with near-zero total dissolved solids (TDS). This level of purity is required for applications where any mineral content would cause problems — spot-free window and vehicle rinsing, aquariums with sensitive species, hydroponics, laboratory use, and cosmetic manufacturing.

DI systems work best with pre-treated water. Pairing a DI stage after an RO membrane dramatically extends the life of the DI resin and reduces operating costs, while delivering the purest possible water output.
